We are traveling through this area and had a pumpkin muffin, an apple donut, a Bavarian donut and a custard and jelly filled donut that was THE best thing I've ever had ... and I've eaten tons of pastries in my lifetime 😂. I'm also very impressed with the prices ... 4 pastries and 2 coffees under $14?! What?!

This is a wonderful bakery with a giant history. Everything is so good and magically delicious from the simplest of perfect donuts and flamboyant cupcakes to the breads brownies, eclairs, turnovers, and pies. ❤️

Absolutely love the breakfast sandwiches!! The lemon cheesecake was amazing, but the honey glazed donuts 😋 just melts in your mouth!! 10/10!!

Stopped by for an early breakfast and weren't disappointed. The smell of fresh baked donuts, pastries and bread definitely wet your appetite. Service was fast and friendly, and prices were reasonable. Very good experience.

What a devoted local following! We visited while passing through town and the line was out the door. Their bacon egg and cheese sandwich is pillowy soft & steamy, and their donuts are similarly tender. Boston cream filling was silky and tasted homemade. They have shelves neatly stocked with floury blond sliced loaves and rolls, and their pastry case is full of beautiful cupcakes and a handful of other pastry that I imagine are also good quality. While the line moved a bit slowly, coffee was just okay, and the donut selection was small, they are clearly well-established and serving patrons what they want. Cute place too- a giant dough trough table, huge classic sign and original photos give it a nostalgic touch. The biblical phrases on signs and walls aren’t my cup of tea but it didn’t make my sandwich any less enjoyable!

Get there early or they run out of donuts you might want. Brooklyn Baking in Waterbury has great tasting donuts. Boston creme has tasty filling and just the right amount of donut around it. Glazed donuts are awesome. Jelly donut was great also. Definitely worth going here for donuts!
